What this first release supports

Pedestrian rectangles, L-shapes, contained rectangular exclusions, single-size grids or exact set coverage, simple borders, user-specified base and bedding, joint packages, selected edge restraint, spikes, and rectangular fabric lanes.

Adjustments remain separate

Geometric cut excess, broken-unit reserve, layer order factor, package surplus, and pallet surplus are presented as different quantities rather than one ambiguous waste number.

Important limits

Complex borders use an explicitly additive measured purchase count; their installed footprint is not inferred. Fabric lanes require one simple rectangle. Permeable pavers are materials only; reservoir, underdrain, infiltration, storage, and overflow design are outside this calculator.

  1. 10 by 8 foot patio: 320 pavers, 8 packages of 40, 14 bedding bags, and 2 joint-product packages.
  2. L-shaped area: 96 square feet, 384 field units, and 44 linear feet of outside boundary.
  3. Patio with an exclusion: 108 square feet and 432 units, with 44 feet of outer and 14 feet of internal boundary.
  4. Simple border: 68 border units, 252 field units, 6 edging pieces, and 2 spike packages.
  5. Manufacturer set coverage: 14 exact sets become 15 adjusted sets and then 2 whole pallets under the entered product rules.
