What this worksheet covers
Reconcile connected runs and gates with a complete, source-confirmed panel/post family, mounting method and kit contents. This is a user-defined exact specification, with no universal product presets.
Measurement and quantities from your selected plan only. Each record supports at most 2,000 physical cuts or panel bays, 2,000 owned stock pieces and 100 purchase lines; split larger projects into separate records. This does not size posts, supports, footings, connections, or gates, determine wind/structural capacity, approve containment, permits, or code. Locate utilities through 811 before digging.
Import a saved measurement
Select a source, then an existing field with the same measurement unit. Add region or station rows first when needed. Confirm physical meaning and datum; importing a number does not approve a design or replace the rest of the required measurements.
Enter the measured layout and selected product information, then calculate. Exact schedules and a drawing appear here.

Method and limits
A parts reconciliation for the exact vinyl system you select, including shared post roles, gate interruptions, terrain choices and kit contents.
Prepare the system and bay record
- Sketch endpoint-post centres, shared corners and clear-face gate positions.
- Record rise and the selected level, stepped or racked treatment for each run.
- Copy actual post face, installed panel clear width, role SKUs, kit contents and documented cutting/racking limits from one exact system; do not mix nominal panel width with clear opening.
Illustrative level run: 16 ft between terminal centres, no gate, 4 in post face and 92 in full-panel clear width give a 96 in centre module. Two 96 in spans produce two 92 in clear bays, two panels, two terminal posts and one line post before reserve. If a shorter run needs cut panels and shortening is undocumented, the whole system order is held. Confirm the product condition and then recalculate; a held list is not a zero-material recommendation.
From post centres to panel openings
Enter centreline run lengths and rises, terminal or shared-corner endpoint IDs, clear-face gate offsets and widths, actual post face width, and documented full-panel clear width. Panel centre spacing must equal post face plus panel clear width. Gate geometry reserves separate gate posts before the remaining bays are divided into equal spans no longer than that centre spacing.
Each bay’s clear width subtracts one post face from its centre span. Rise is apportioned along the run; rack angle is atan2(bay rise, bay span). A short bay still consumes one source panel when cutting is documented. No panel offcut reuse is assumed.
panel clear opening = bay centre span − actual post face
Post roles and included parts
Shared corners are counted once; terminal, line and gate posts remain distinct system identities. A kit may be based on panels, panel ends, terminals, corners, line posts, gate posts or gates. Required parts minus documented included parts gives the nonnegative extra requirement. Selected reserve is applied before rounding extras to their package size. Panel and post reserve is whole-item rounding; gate kits have no added reserve.
A system order can be held
If the selected cut, racked or stepped condition is unsupported by the product record, the entire system purchase is withheld. Enter the exact manufacturer, model, document URL, edition/date and checked conditions for panel dimensions, role SKUs and fittings; illustrative example records are not product citations. At most 2,000 bays are supported. The tool does not approve foundations, wind loading, anchoring or the selected installation.
